DSP traffic police shot dead in Karachi

Unidentified armed men gunned down on Sunday DSP Traffic Police Faiz Ali Shagri in Karachi’s Gulshan-e-Iqbal area.
According to Express News, the police officer was travelling in his car near Alladin Park, Rashid Minhas Road when the incident took place.
Police said head constable Rasheed was also injured in the firing.
Separately, a man was killed in a suspected sectarian attack. Police said 61-year-old Sajid Mehmood was targeted near his house in Gulshan Kaniz Fatima, Block 1.

Earlier in May this year, two traffic police officials were shot dead in an armed attack in Ayesha Manzil area.
The deceased were equipped with bulletproof jackets; however, could not survive the attack as the armed men shot them in the head, according to the Karachi Police Media Cell.
