Dr Kashif and Dr Farookh of livestock department, with the Waris Khan police, seized a truck loaded with unhygienic meat. The police arrested four men who were transporting it from Gojra.
The police registered a case against Ishtiaq Mashi alia Kala, Jan Sher alias Shera, Shabo and driver Anwar. Livestock officials took the meat into custody and later burnt it. On November 17, the department also confiscated over six tonnes of substandard meat from the Pirwadhai area.
