Seven injured as two groups clash over construction site

SUKKUR: Seven people were injured in an armed clash between two groups of the Kori clan over a plot in the Old Shahpur village within the jurisdiction of Abad police station on Friday afternoon.

Mohammad Aslam Kori’s house was under construction when his neighbours, Saifullah Kori and Sabbir Kori, intervened claiming that the land it was being built on belonged to them.

Their argument escalated into a fight and both groups attacked each other with wooden sticks and hatchets.

As a result, seven people identified as Mohammad Aslam Kori, Karim Bux Kori, Farooq Kori, Saifullah Kori, Sabbir Kori, Rahib Kori and Faheem Kori, were injured and shifted to Civil Hospital, Sukkur.

The police have yet to register the case but investigations are under way.
