As many as 800 Afghan refugee families were provided three bags of 100-kilogram wheat, sufficient to feed a family of six for four months.
WFP chief of Peshawar chapter BaiMankay Sankoh said that his organisation was closely coordinating with SAFRON to ensure the provision of sustainable food and nutrition security for Afghan refugees.
He said that seven members of WFP’s technical staff were ensuring food grain, rapid online registration of refugees and data verification processes in accordance with UNHCR database.
