Law and order: Two bullet-riddled bodies found in Kech

The arrested militants were shifted to an unidentified location for investigation

QUETTA: Two bullet-riddled bodies were found in the Mand area of Kech district on Sunday.

Levies Force officials said some passers-by had spotted the bodies in the Yek Nala area of Mand and informed them. Later, Levies personnel shifted the corpses to the district hospital in Turbat for identification.

The deceased were identified as Hammad and Dad Muhammad. Balochistan Levies official said the cause of the killing could not be known and investigations are underway.

The bodies were handed over to the relatives for burial after medico-legal  formalities. No group has claimed responsibility for the killing. A case has been registered against unidentified persons and investigations are under way.

Meanwhile, three militants of banned organisations were arrested in search operations launched in Quetta, Pishin and Khuzdar on Sunday.

According to a Frontier Corps spokesman, the FC and intelligence agency carried out search operations in Quetta, Pishin and Khuzdar.

“Three militants belonging to different banned outfits – including the TTP and LeJ – were arrested,” FC Spokesman said.

The arrested militants were shifted to an unidentified location for investigation.
