Pakistani bowler Junaid Khan claimed two wickets to guide his Khulna Titans to a 22-run win over Barisal Bulls in their Bangladesh Premier League encounter at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium yesterday.
Junaid dismissed opener Fazle Mahmud leg-before and then claimed the wicket of Rayad Emrit to finish with figures of 2-29. The pacer took a couple of catches, including of last man out Tajiul Islam to seal the win.
The brace took his total wicket tally in the tournament to 10, just three shy of leading wicket-taker and teammate Shafiul Isam.

Titans, who were asked to bat first, posted a 152-run target as man of the match Mahmudullah (44) and Riki Wessels (40) combined for a 53-run third-wicket partnership.
In reply, Jeevan Mendis got the Bulls off to a quick start but the Bulls were unable to build on it.

Shahriar Nafees and captain Mushfiqur Rahim did try to bring some stability to the innings with a resilient 43-run stand but any momentum that partnership had garnered fizzled out after Nafees’ wicket in the 15th over.
After that it was smooth sailing for the Titans, who went top of the BPL with the win.
