HARIPUR: Police are still clueless about the whereabouts of a teenage girl who was allegedly kidnapped by her brother-in-law earlier this week.

Najma Bibi*, a resident of Choee village, told Khanpur police through a written complaint that her eldest daughter Shehzadi* was married to Muhammad Zohaib of Bani Chowk, Rawalpindi. Zohaib had called Bibi's younger daughter, 19-year-old Shazia Bibi*, to come live with her sister in Rawalpindi, but she refused.

However, on Wednesday afternoon when Shazia was alone at home, Zohaib allegedly stormed into their home and dragged the teenager into his car and took her to an unknown location.

Worried, the girl's mother filed a complaint with the police and a criminal case was registered against Zohaib and unidentified accomplices under section 365-B of the PPC.

Despite the passage of three days, police have been unable to locate either the girl or the accused arrested. The family demanded that the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Inspector General of Police ensure Shazia’s recovery at the earliest.
