Kanye West has yet again surprised the world with one of his controversial statements.

The American singer revealed that had he voted in last week's presidential election, his choice would've been Donald Trump.

The statement raised discontent among his fans - which they openly expressed by boo'ing their otherwise favourite rapper.

In the video that surfaced on Twitter, Kanye can be heard speaking to fans at his Saint Pablo tour in San Jose on Thursday.

The world is ready for Kanye West to be the next US president

"I said something that was kind of politically correct. I told ya’ll I didn’t vote, right. I didn’t tell you… I guess I told you… But If I would’ve voted, I would’ve voted on Trump," he said.

In another video Kanye is seen sharing the reasons for his decision.

"That doesn’t mean I don’t think Black Lives Matter, I don’t …believe in women’s rights… because that was the guy I would’ve voted for," he explained.

Kanye later addressed all the black people in the crowd, telling them that they should shift their focus from racism and channel it elsewhere.

"This world is racist, ok," he said. "Let’s stop being distracted to focus on that as much. It’s just a fucking fact. We are in a racist country, period. Do not allow people to make us talk about that so fucking long. Let’s talk about whatever the **** we wanna talk about."

The public was quick to react on Twitter, largely condemning his speech and expressing disapproval.
