Army chief General Raheel Sharif on Friday said Operation Zarb-e-Azb has laid a strong foundation for peace and progress in the country.

The army chief was addressing students and faculty members during his visit to Government College University Lahore, Radio Pakistan reported. He visited various sections of the premier institute.

Pakistan is unconquerable, Army chief warns enemies

Expressing optimism for a bright future of the country, the army chief said, "Pakistan is a great nation and our human resource is our real asset." He added that the youth can play an important role in taking Pakistan to new heights.


In September, General Raheel said enemies must realise Pakistan has always been strong, and now it has turned unconquerable.

“I want to make it clear to all enemies of Pakistan that Pakistan has always been strong and today it is invincible,” General Raheel said while addressing a gathering in connection with Defence Day at GHQ, Rawalpindi.

Talking about the challenges the country is facing, he said: “I want to make it clear that we are fully aware of all covert and overt intrigues and intentions of our enemies.”
