Mallika Sherawat beaten up by intruders near where Kim Kardashian was robbed in Paris

The attack happened near where Kim's robbery took place

Less than a month after an attack on America's leading reality star Kim Kardashian, Bollywood actor Mallika Sherawat was reportedly tear-gassed and beaten up by three masked intruders in her Paris apartment block.



Mallika Sherawat arrived in Paris on Friday. According to a report that first appeared in Le Parisien, Sherawat who has increasingly started to make appearances in international films, was attacked by three masked intruders. The newspaper described how the criminals wore scarves across their faces.

They, "without saying a word, sprayed their victims with tear gas before punching them". Immediately after they fled, Sherawat and her  friend called for help from emergency services.



Detectives are  currently working on an assumption that the attackers were attempting a robbery and so far an official criminal investigation has been launched.

Sherawat is an outspoken feminist who frequently complains about attacks on women in her own country. While promoting her film ‘Bachelorette India’ two years ago, she called India ‘regressive’ compared to countries such as the USA.
