ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) directed on Wednesday Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan to submit a reply on reference filed by the speaker of the National Assembly by November 22.

The ECP resumed the hearing of two references sent by the speaker against the PTI chief and secretary-general Jahangir Khan Tareen.

It also took up a petition filed by PTI against Capt (retd) Safdar, the prime minister’s son-in-law, seeking his disqualification for allegedly concealing his assets.

All three cases were adjourned till November 22 without any substantial development.

The full bench of the ECP, headed by Chief Election Commissioner Justice (retd) Sardar Raza Khan, asked respondents to file written replies before the next hearing.

It also adjourned another petition filed by ANP’s Bushra Gohar against PTI Senator Liaquat Tarakai and two K-P Assembly members.
