Against doctors: SHO to record statement

LAHORE: An additional district and sessions judge has directed the Gawalmandi SHO to record the petitioning doctor’s version against young doctors for allegedly thrashing him and threatening him with death. Dr Shoaib Khan Niazi of Mayo Hospital has gone to court against Dr Sheharyar Khan, claiming that his rival along with other doctors attacked his group of medics and injured several of them. The petitioner also accused the respondents of threatening them with death. He requested the court to direct the SHO of the area to register an FIR against 22 doctors. After hearing the arguments, the court directed the SHO concerned to record the statements and proceed further in accordance with law.
