Environmental threat: ‘Tackling climate change not job of one country alone’

US Ambassador to Pakistan David Hale Saturday said that his country wants to enhance people-to-people relations with Pakistan.
Addressing a three-day international conference on the impact of climate change in Islamabad
on Saturday, Hale appreciated Pakistan for ratifying the Paris agreement on climate change.
Earlier in the week, Pakistan became the 104th country to ratify the international agreement.
However, the ambassador pointed out that tackling climate change is not the job of one country alone. Rather, he said, the entire world community needs join together in endeavours to deal with challenges of climate change since the impacts are not limited to any particular region.
Speaking on the occasion, Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed said climate change currently poses the single biggest threat to humanity.
He stressed on the need for diligent efforts to ensure a safe future for the coming generations.
