The family subtly represented the flag of USA with their outfits as Melania, Ivanka, Eric, Barron, Tiffany and daughter-in-law Lara selectively picked different colours to wear from the palette of the flag. The political situation of the White House might be skeptical but the fashion calculation of the new first family is definitely on point.
Melania Trump
On this historic occasion, the Trumps dressed out in their finest as Melania wore a whopping $3,990 Ralph Lauren white off-shoulder jump suit. This colour has been chosen by many women to wear on Election Day as a symbol of women’s suffrage. Interestingly, Ralph has been Hillary Clinton’s favourite during the campaign too. The one-shoulder pant-suit was a rather bold choice since Hillary donned that during her second presidential debate. The new First Lady pulled off the silk outfit featuring slimming slits quite graciously. It was refreshing to see her move away from bow-tie dresses to a much flattering suit.
Donald Trump
The President Elect wore his traditional dark Brioni business suit and matched it with a white shirt and a tie from his signature collection. The red tie was a clear victory statement of the Republicans as Trump steered his way clear through to the stage.
Ivanka Trump
Hailed as the most stylish of the family, Ivanka was seen in a flirty powder blue Alexander McQueen number. The gorgeous skater dress was sleeveless with a thigh-length pleated skirt that gathered around the waist. It was complimented by her neutral pumps and the natural hair and soft make-up which made her stand out as the real winner of the night.
