Gen Raheel visits Corps Headquarters Karachi, witnesses ongoing exercise ‘Resilient Response’ of Southern Command

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif vowed on Wednesday that security agencies and Sindh government will continue their coordinated operation till complete restoration of peace in Karachi.

The army chief said this during his visit to Corps Headquarters Karachi on Wednesday, where he also witnessed the ongoing exercise "Resilient Response" of Southern Command, Radio Pakistan reported.

He was briefed in detail about the conduct and conclusions of the exercise encompassing both defensive and offensive operations.

Talking to participants, Gen Raheel expressed satisfaction over operational preparedness of formations.

The army chief also presided over a security conference attended by corps commander Karachi, DG ISI and DG Rangers, among others.

He appreciated the accomplishments of security forces and intelligence agencies for improved law and order situation in the metropolis.
