150TH ANNIVERSARY: ‘Rule of law critical for progressive nation’  

JEHLUM: Upholding the rule of law is the utmost requirement for a progressive nation.

This was stated by District and Sessions Judge Mahrukh Aziz while presiding over a conference in Jhelum. The conference was part of the 150th anniversary celebrations of the Lahore High Court.

Judge Aziz said that everyone is equal before the law. In this regard, she said that today justice is prevailing in all the segments of society.

To mark the 150th anniversary of the
LHC, the district
judiciary in Jhelum had arranged a number of extracurricular visits of male and female students in the district, sessions, and civil courts, where they were informed about the judicial system.

Judge Aziz said the activity was meant to raise the moral and intellectual levels of students. Students appreciated the visit and the arrangements made by the district court.
