KARACHI: It was show time in Rotterdam on Sunday, with the MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAs) 2016 lighting up the Dutch port city with an influx of celebrities, stellar performances and, of course, the glitz and glamour of the red carpet.
Amongst the bevy of attendees were Bollywood’s very own Deepika Padukone and America’s sweetheart Nina Dobrev. Both leggy ladies brought their fashion A-games to the event and had everyone raving about their gorgeous ensembles. Here’s what each of the starlets wore.
Deepika Padukone
It was Padukone’s big debut at an international award ceremony and she truly lived up to what the occasion demanded. The Bajirao Mastani actor graced the red carpet in a swamp green, Monisha Jaising outfit, styled with longer-than-usual beaded earrings and Balmain heels. Padukone had her man swept up in a sleek ponytail with her trademark smoky eyes, turning heads every of the way.
Nina Dobrev
Fans had been itching for a glimpse of Dobrev, ever since the actor left The Vampire Diaries last year. Fortunately, the EMAs made their wait worthwhile. Dobrev walked out in a shimmering lilac, beaded gown by none other than the great Elie Saab, inducing fashion envy everywhere. The column dress cinched at Dobrev’s tiny waist and the high neckline gave the outfit a demure appeal. Her hair was simple and straight, tucked behind her ears to reveal silver leaf earrings and dramatic eye makeup.
