The official added that the board approached the legendary batsman after watching him coach Peshawar Zalmi’s junior team in their cricket academy.

Responding to the offer, the 42-year-old said he hopes to help newcomers if he takes up the new position. “Yes, I have been offered to join the NCA and work with young players,” he said. “I am ready to help newcomers and share my experience with Pakistan’s future batsmen. However, nothing is final yet and I hope everything is done quickly.”
