Gambling charges: Three awarded jail term

LAHORE: A judicial magistrate awarded jail sentence to three accused over gambling charges the other day. The accused were sent to jail on a 14-day judicial remand. Shahdara police produced the accused before the court where their counsels told the court that their clients had been implicated in a forged case merely to humiliate and blackmail them. However, the investigation officers of the case maintained that the accused were arrested red-handed while gambling.
