KARACHI: Diwali 2016 turned out to be one of the most sparkly affairs in Bollywood. It weren’t just the fireworks that lit up the festival but Bollywood divas were dressed in the hottest enthic ensembles. And the trend, that left us floored this season, was the all-white outfits. Sonam Kapoor and Malaika Arora Khan, both of the industry’s leading ladies and fashionistas turned heads were a vision in white avatars.
Sonam Kapoor
Known for her high-end fashion, the Khoobsurat actor kept her style simple. She was seen sporting an Anamika Khanna white lace lengha choli with a matching dupatta. What we absolutely loved about her outfit was the way in which she pinned her dupatta to the back like a cape – adding a fusion look to her ensemble. The starlet opted for an updo, keeping the focus on her emerald green and kundan earrings and a chunky choker neck piece. She was definitely an angel in white!
Malaika Arora Khan
The actor opted for an elegant look in an off-white dress by Maneka Harisinghani. The style icon paired a long chikankari kameez – embroidered with gota work and kaamdaani – with a pleated gharara that trailed on the floor. While we feel she could have done without the heavy jewellery, we could not stop admiring the contrasting brown lips she finished her look with.
