Prince William's wife visited HMP Eastwood Park prison in Gloucestershire "to learn what support is available to women prisoners and their families with complex needs", the couple's Kensington Palace residence said on Twitter.

The Duchess has visited HMP Eastwood Park to learn what support is available to women prisoners and their families with complex needs.

She also met with a several women prisoners "to hear their personal stories". Kate also visited The Nelson Trust Women's Centre, which works to support vulnerable women and their families.
