Targeted killing: Levies official killed in Wadh

In a separate incident, firing took place outside the Qazi Housing scheme over a business dispute, killing a child

QUETTA: A Balochistan Levies official was gunned down in the Wadh area of Khuzdar district on Wednesday.

According to officials, unidentified armed men opened firing at Alah Baksh and fled the crime scene.

Local administration shifted the body to the Civil Hospital where after completing the legal formality they handed over the body to the family.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack till the filing of this report.

The concerned authorities are investigating the matter.

In a separate incident, firing took place outside the Qazi Housing scheme over a business dispute. A child was killed in the incident while three other passers-by were injured. The deceased was identified as Munir Ahmed son of Agha Jan. Meanwhile, assailants escaped from the scene after firing. The deceased and injured were shifted to the civil hospital in Pishin. Investigation in the matter is under way.
