In order to avoid bloodshed the sit-in was called off and now a celebratory rally would be held in Islamabad: Ghani
PESHAWAR:
The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government spokesperson Mushtaq Ghani on Tuesday claimed that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf workers were asked to return due to possible bloodshed.
Addressing a press conference at the Peshawar Press Club, he said the federal government had planned to kill PTI workers arriving for the sit-in which had been conveyed to the party chief Imran Khan.
Defending his party’s decision he said that in order to avoid bloodshed the sit-in was called off and now a celebratory rally would be held in Islamabad.
Ghani also expressed satisfaction over the hearing of Panama Leaks issue in the Supreme Court and congratulated his party workers.
“Imran Khan’s demand that Panama leaks should be investigated properly has been fulfilled and the apex court would lead a judicial commission in this regard,” he added.
