ISLAMABAD: CNG stations in the federal capital and Punjab would reopen from Wednesday after a two-day closure, said All Pakistan Compressed Natural Gas Association (APCNGA) Chairman Ghiyas Abdullah Paracha. All CNG stations operating in the capital and across Punjab were closed from 6am on Monday due to maintenance work on the Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) - an LNG terminal. “All CNG stations in Punjab as well as Islamabad will be opened and resume sales from 6am on Wednesday as maintenance work on the LNG terminal has been completed,” Paracha told APP. Answering a question, he said the association was finalising modalities to import its own liquefied natural gas (LNG) for ensuring uninterrupted supply to CNG outlets throughout the year.
