MUMBAI: Bollywood beauty Anushka Sharma believes there is a special bond between her and superstar Shah Rukh Khan because he happened to be the first male actor she worked with. The actor says that they share a unique equation as he was her very first hero.

After making her big debut opposite Khan in 2008’s Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, Sharma went on to star with him in 2012’s Jab Tak Hai Jaan and soon, the duo will recreate their magic with Imtiaz Ali’s upcoming film, The Ring.

The Ring will be our third film together. I share a very special equation with Shah Rukh as he was my first actor. I am very comfortable with him,” Sharma said, in a recent interview. “Imtiaz is also someone I have wanted to work with because his film Jab We Met is the reason I actually became an actor. To work with the same director is a great feeling. The Ring is a love story and it has been a good experience,” added the actor, who is currently riding high on the success of her latest project, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.

Sharma is also producing her second film Phillauri and says it is a big risk to invest money in a film. “It’s difficult… It’s a big risk. You know, it is not a money generating thing for you, especially when you are a new producer. So, for me and my brother, it’s just to put the project together,” she shared. “If you are an actor yourself, you are not a liability on it. You are not taking too much money. You have to find means to save money so that the project doesn’t get affected.”

Directed by debutante Anshai Lal, Phillauri features Anushka Sharma, Diljit Dosanjh and Suraj Sharma in the lead roles.
