Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was in tears as he mentioned his slain mother during his visit to inquire after the injured victims of police training centre attack in Quetta.

“My family and the people of Balochistan share the same pain… I am no ordinary politician. I am the son of Benazir Bhutto. I am also a victim of this terrorism,” Bilawal said as he addressed media on Sunday.

Three heavily-armed militants wearing suicide vests had stormed the New Sariab Police Training Centre near Quetta last week, killing at least 62 people and wounding dozens more.

Responding to a question regarding Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan’s planned lockdown of Islamabad on November 2, Bilawal said: “Imran is in a habit of being a puppet.” “Imran cannot run a political movement without the support of an umpire [military establishment],” the PPP chairman said.
