PTI chief advises PTI workers to travel in groups to avoid arrest

Adamant to go ahead with the massive protest in Islamabad on November 2, despite the ban, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan on Saturday said he will show the prime minister what democracy really is.

"We will show Nawaz what democracy is," Imran said while addressing the media and his supporters in Bani Gala. He also advised PTI workers to travel in large groups in order to avoid arrest.



"If you arrive in small numbers, the police will put you in jail. Avoid being arrested until November 2," he said. Imran also told the supporters to avoid taking the route where police is stationed.

"The government is blocking roads and authorities are arresting PTI workers which is a violation of court orders," the party chief said. Concerned about the well being of his supporters, Imran directed party managers to provide PTI supporters with food and comfort.

Earlier, while challenging Islamabad High Court’s orders the party chief asserted that “It is my legal and constitutional right to hold a peaceful protest and I will exercise that right.” He further said that the Islamabad protest scheduled for November 2 will be held at any cost.

“We will change the fate of Pakistan on November 2, and no one has the power to stop us,” he added. The cricketer-turned-politician further added that using force against peaceful protesters is unconstitutional.

“You already have the blood of Model Town victims on your hands, which you will be held accountable for,” Imran said while referring to the Punjab police. “It is time for Nawaz and his government to leave, who will save you then?”

The address came hours after IHC ordered authorities not to place any containers or block roads for PTI’s Islamabad lockdown on November 2.
