DERA GHAZI KHAN: The provincial ombudsman has sacked an employee of a government school over dishonesty in Dera Ghazi Khan on Thursday.

Petitioner Muhammad Nasir submitted a complaint in the provincial ombudsman’s office in which he stated that Faiz Muhammad was appointed as a teacher in Government Elementary School, DG Khan. He further said the accused was also working in WAPDA and was drawing two salaries from the education department and power utility. He requested the Punjab ombudsman to take action over the matter.

Following complaint from Nasir, Provincial Ombudsman Najam Saeed ordered inquiry into the matter. The inquiry report revealed that Faiz was illegally performing duties in two government departments at the same time. While taking action on the report, the ombudsman terminated his services with immediate effect.
