Quetta bleeds again

Letter October 31, 2016
Performance towards a better Pakistan could happen if there was a strong bond between all elements of the state

ISLAMABAD: The Quetta carnage has swallowed the lives of many people. There is no replacement of this loss. A severe problem created by this incident is the blame game once again. The incident has boosted sub-nationalism and affected internal bonding. The country was on its way to stability but this incident has weakened it internally. Performance towards a better Pakistan could happen if there was a strong bond between all elements of the state.

This is the time to show the world that we stand together to defend our country. We will have to understand that the purpose behind this attack was not to just kill the persons but to destabilise Pakistan. Now, it is up to the nation whether it will help the enemy by destabilising Pakistan or show unity to fail the enemy’s purpose.
