An Instagram user on Monday shared a photo of someone’s legs, which was quickly picked up by confused Twitter users who could not decide whether the legs had white paint or were shiny plastic.

The girl in the photo later revealed it was actually white paint on her legs that created the illusion of shiny plastic legs. “I was finishing off some art homework and had some white paint left on my brush and just decided to draw random lines, I had no intentions of making it look shiny,” Culverhouse told BuzzFeed News.

The photo was taken down on Wednesday afternoon.
