“Those who were demanding a probe into the Panama leaks by the Supreme Court didn’t show the courtesy to take the issue of accountability in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa to the high court,” Fazl said while addressing ‘Paigham-e-Amn’ conference.
The JUI-F leader said when fingers were pointed towards the K-P chief minister and he was almost arrested, amendments were made to the Ehtesab law and the DG was forced to resign.
Fazl claimed that the sit-in was not directed against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif; rather, it is to pressurise the Supreme Court. “But let me tell them, no one in this country can weaken democracy and pressurise the judiciary.”
