Sindh Bank opens branch in Karachi

This is the second branch of the bank after the first branch was opened in Naudero on December 26, 2010.

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah inaugurated a branch of Sindh Bank at II Chundrigar Road on Saturday.

This is the second branch of the bank, set up by the Sindh government, after the first branch was opened in Naudero on December 26, 2010.

At the inauguration ceremony, attended by bank officials and members of the Sindh cabinet, Bank President Bilal Shaikh disclosed plans to open 50 branches in different districts of the province. The bank plans to hire more than 1,000 people by the end of the year.

Qaim Ali Shah said that people from the lower middle class will benefit from the bank as it will provide loans to farmers and businessmen from small and medium enterprises. “There will be no political influence in the bank and it will operate purely on professional lines,” he added.

Farhan Imaan | 13 years ago | Reply Sindh Bank is hiring entire staff on source, in which PPP is playing a major role, A pure lie that it would benefit the people, beside what can be seen that it is based for the vote bank of PPP, none is hired fairly, indeed mostly those who were in banking sector from other banks has joined Sindh Bank because of handsome salary and grade. I don't understand when the people of pakistan will understand the word " POLITICS " when in each and everything in this country it exist, I don't see bright future of this bank but those who have joined seem happy but as this government will say goodbye Allah only knows what will happened to them. During the last couple of years Pakistan has been facing the worst condition of terroisum and law and order situation during this facts there is no new investment in Pakistan. But in this condition Pakistan people's party (democratic government) provided the jobs opening in the markets. I am really thanks ful to ASIF ALI ZARDARI President of Pakistan, Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani and Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah to provide jobs in Pakistan through this bank. The farmer and small & medium size businessman achieve loans and others banking facilities from SINDH BANK, Karachi. This is the vision of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Benezir Bhutto to provide maximum jobs to various types of people in different part of the country. I wish him all the best for this bank.
