Azad Jammu Kashmir Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider on Tuesday urged lawyers in the valley to play their due role in highlighting the human rights abuses by India forces in the occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Talking to the Supreme Court Bar Association Pakistan President Barrister Zaffar Ali Shah in Muzaffarabad, Haider said that lawyers had sacrificed for rule of law and strengthening the democratic institutions in the country, Radio Pakistan reported. He urged them to raise the issue of human rights abuses across the Line of Control in the disputed Himalayan territory. Barrister Shah on this occasion reiterated that lawyers would take up the issue of rights violations being committed by Indian forces at national and international forums.
