Development forum: ‘Women of South Asia going forward’
The minister was representing the green flag at South Asian Women Development Forum in Kathmandu, Nepal

Provincial Minister for Women Development Hameeda Waheedud Din on Tuesday said women of South Asia were progressing in all sectors of life and their representation in elected houses had substantially improved.
The minister was representing the green flag at South Asian Women Development Forum in Kathmandu, Nepal. Hameeda said the representation of women in legislative institutions of Nepal was equal to that of the men’s. She added that under the constitution of Nepal, it was mandatory that either the president, prime minister, National Assembly speaker or deputy speaker should be a woman.
