According to the office order, 201 employees between grade 1 and grade 7 were promoted to the next grade following the completion of their mandatory length of service in the previous grade.
The promoted employees include 125 sanitation workers, 27 security guards, 23 nursing attendants, eight ward servants, six peons, four gardeners, three cooks, two darkroom attendants, two lab attendants, one occupational therapy attendant and one junior storekeeper.
According to the services structure, they have been promoted after the completion of a period of five to 10 years, whereas two senior clerks from grade 12 have been promoted to grade 16.
However, the notification has been sent to health secretary for approval.
Civil hospital medical superintendent Jameel Ahmed Siddiqui remarked that it is the responsibility of the hospital to provide the best healthcare facilities, which is not possible without the employees. He added that more employees will be promoted in the next phase.
