LAHORE: A healthy lifestyle, learning a new language and practicing mathematics can delay the onset of Alzheimer’s disease, said Mohsin Shafiq, a PhD scholar from Georg-August University Goettingen, Germany. Speaking at a seminar on ‘Alzheimer’s Disease and Corresponding Progression Rate Modifiers’, he presented his research findings related to involvement of prions, which is a very small unit of protein that may cause brain diseases, including Alzheimer’s.
