“We consider PTI chairman Imran Khan’s demand for accountability as fair, and it should begin with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif,” the senior leader told reporters outside the Lahore High Court on Monday.
“There is a discrepancy in the statements of PM Nawaz’s children regarding their billions of worth of properties but the national institutions, including NAB, FIA, SECP and FBR did not take any investigation in the Panama leaks because all these institutions are subordinate to the prime minister,” Ahsan lamented.

The PPP senator said some government ministers were giving incorrect advices to the prime minister, adding that peaceful protest was a democratic right of everyone. “Had these accusations been hurled against any other person except the PM, the government would have acted by now,” the PPP senator upheld.
Ahsan said his party will closely monitor the protest and in case of any violence on PTI workers, the PPP might change its current policy and could join the protest.
