PTI chief says Nawaz is seeking support from Indo-Israeli lobby

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Monday said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is isolating the army.

Terming the premier "the biggest security threat" in the country, Imran said, "Nawaz is seeking support from the Indo-Israeli lobby to safeguard himself and his corruption."

The PTI chief said a controversial story published in an English daily was a "conspiracy against the army." Imran continued to allege, "Nawaz, in fact, is involved in defaming the military."

The cricketer-turned-politician further claimed that each time he announces action against the premier’s corruption, tensions escalate along the Line of Control. "This has now become a regular pattern," he added.

“The military effectively dealt with the Chotu gang, it might now need to tackle the Motu gang too,” Imran remarked.

“The ruling ministers are constantly lying and blackmailing me to hide their corruption,” Imran said. “They are involved in propaganda against Shaukat Khanum Hospital while they are expected to take action when the offshore funds have been revealed [in Panama Papers leaks].

Imran warned the rulers that they will not be able to stop the masses from gathering in Islamabad during the planned protest against corruption on November 2. “You will find no place to hide, not even an exit to Jeddah if you create a chaos to restrain the protesters,” he remarked.

PTI chairman reiterated that he had offered his own accountability but the premier, for the last seven months, was neither returning the money nor resigning from his position.

He went on to say that the rulers’ corruption wasn’t only affecting the country financially, but also the two-nation theory. “Indian Muslims would think why a separate state was necessary when businessmen were to rule the country,” he said.

On Sunday, Imran declared that if a ‘third force’ intervened as a result of his protest movement, PM Nawaz alone will be to blame. He made the remark in an apparent response to the government’s fresh charge that the PTI chief was out to derail democracy.



Talking to reporters at his Bani Gala residence before heading to DI Khan, Khan alleged that the PML-N media cell, headed by the premier’s daughter, was responsible for leaking sensitive news to the media to defame Pakistan Army.

Meanwhile, Information Minister Pervez Rashid said that there was no justification for Imran Khan’s protest after the Supreme Court begun its proceedings in the case.

“In fact, Supreme Court has now given us a platform to expose the lies being spread by PTI chairman,” Rashid said and added that Imran and Aitzaz Ahsan should produce their objections, if any, in the court.

The information minister was talking to media at the residence of late qawwali maestro Amjad Sabri. He presented a cheque of Rs10million to Sabri's family for their welfare and better upbringing.

If Imran has the same faith on the apex court as we do, he should wait for its verdict. "Decisions made on the streets could be harmful for the country.” Rashid said, “All democratic forces will unitedly fight to eliminate the politics of agitation, chaos and mischief.”



The PML-N leader said whenever Imran plans a siege of the federal capital, India starts its aggression against Pakistan. “If Imran is a well-wisher of the country, he should silence his guns on such occasions.”

Rashid went on to add that the protesters did not want Pakistan’s stability or prosperity and they were actually linked to those opposing the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.

“We will accept a decision of the court but if Imran is proven wrong, he should tender an apology, not to us but to the masses for wasting their time for the last five years.”
