The day is observed as black day by the people of the divided valley every year to register indignation over the continued unlawful and forcible occupation of Kashmir by Indian forces.
India had landed her troops in Srinagar this day 69 years ago against the wishes of the locals.
In Indian occupied Kashmir, the day will be marked by a complete shutter-down, strike and anti-Indian demonstrations.
The Kashmir freedom struggle is already at a new high in the curfew-clamped occupied valley where a new wave of anti-India and pro-freedom street agitation has been going on for the past 105 days.
In AJK, the day will be marked through a major rally in Mirpur, followed by processions and protest demonstration by people of all spheres of life at District Courts.
