“For me, work is only a piece in my life. I want to take vacations, meet friends and spend time with family, especially my mother,” said Fakhri. This realisation dawned on her when she was recently told by someone she was not ambitious enough. “My ambition is not just limited to the professional sphere. So, many people don’t understand it. Also because I grew up very poor, where I am today compared to where I came from is my biggest achievement. I’m really proud of myself.”
Fakhri added, “When you are so focused in this business, you have less time for friends and family. To me, connecting with a human holds more value than a bag, a pair of shoes or a fancy car.”
When asked what would be an alternate career option for her if not acting, she added, “Travelling! I feel more passionately about healthy living than anything else. I like spreading positivity. So, something in the health and wellness space. I’ll explore to see where I fit in.”
