The FIA cyber crime wing rounded up Azhar Safdar, son of Muhammad Safdar, from a food point at Jail Road, Lahore with carrying nude photos and videos in his cell phone. The team had received complaint from a college-going girl *Shama about the accused blackmailing her for months.
The FIA Lahore Zone's representative Tariq told The Express Tribune that the man used to blackmail girls by posting their nude pictures and videos on Facebook. "The man had been taken into custody."

The agency has registered an FIR number 62/16 under Section 20 of the cyber crime law against the accused, under which he may face imprisonment up to seven years.
The suspect had been blackmailing girls by filming them nude through a hidden camera in his house. He would later threaten these women and ask for money.
On July 22, the cyber crime wing of the FIA apprehanded a man in Peshawar for blackmailing a woman by posting her private pictures on Facebook and circulating them on WhatsApp.

The accused, Sajjad Hussain, was threatening to defame her through these tactics. Officials also seized his mobile phone during the raid.
Similarly, the FIA held a man who allegedly harassed and blackmailed women on Facebook. The agency also told the court that the suspect had confessed to the commission of offences during the interrogation and also surrendered electronic equipment used in the commission of offences. He also provided usernames and passwords of the Facebook profiles in question.
