Airport upgrade: Information centre to be set up 

The visiting tourists would also be provided with the facility of hotel and transport booking upon arrival

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) is planning to set up a modern high tech Tourist Information Centre (TIC) at the Islamabad airport. According to PTDC Managing Director Abdul Ghafoor efforts are underway to set up new TICs at other airports as well. He also directed the team to observe proper duty schedule and to assist the foreign and domestic tourists with correct and updated information. The visiting tourists would also be provided with the facility of hotel and transport booking upon arrival at the airport. He said that PTDC was in process of development of centralised booking and reservation system for all PTDC facilities spread across the country. He added that all the 14 PTDC Tourist Information Centers located across Pakistan will be upgraded and government has assured its full support in this regard.
