Addressing a press conference in Abbottabad on Tuesday, he said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-led provincial government has been constantly opposing the $46 billion project for the last several months claiming the argument that the province was being deprived of the project’s benefits.
"Don't they consider Hazara division as part of K-P? If so they must accept its independent status as a separate province," he asked adding that opposition to CPEC had exposed the real face of PTI.

"But we will not allow them [K-P government] to succeed in their designs and protect the rights of Hazara at every cost," Zaman warned, adding that PTI was now trying to turn CPEC into another Kalabagh dam.
