The breakup song from Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is striking the right chords and sending out a message that a breakup doesn't always have to end on a sour note and in tears. Filmmaker Karan Johar says the song is all about women empowerment.

The song shows Anushka Sharma and Ranbir Kapoor celebrating a breakup, and is all about how moving on can be easy.

"The breakup song is all about women empowerment. Breaking up should be as quick and easy as falling in love," Karan said in a statement.

Karan talked about the song when actor Neha Dhupia inquired about it at Absolut Elyx Filmfare Glamour & Style Awards here.
