Behind Bars: Five ‘terrorists’ arrested in Multan

MULTAN: The Multan police’s Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) claimed to have arrested five terrorists and seized a large cache of arms and ammunition on Monday. The CTD team raided a hideout near New Khan Bus Stand at Vehari Chowk and nabbed five terrorists, a police official told The Express Tribune. “The militants were planning to carry out terrorist activity in the city,” he added.Two grenades, three detonators, two remote controls, 20 metre electric cable and several detonation cords were confiscated from the site. The suspects have been shifted to an undisclosed location for interrogation.
