Child dead, several injured in Karachi Imambargah attack
Unidentified men lob grenade in Block 4 of Liaquatabad near Dar-e-Abbas Imambargah

At least one child was killed while seven people, including women, were injured in a grenade attack in Karachi's Liaquatabad neighbourhood on Monday.
Police said unidentified men lobbed a grenade in Block 4 of Liaquatabad near Dar-e-Abbas Imambargah. According to sources, women majlis was ongoing at the time of the attack.
The deceased was identified as 13-year-old Faraz.
Police, rescuers and BDS officials arrived at the spot and the victims were being shifted to the Abbassi Shaheed Hospital.
"A women and a child are in critical condition while rest of the injured are stable," Nadeem Rajput, medical officer of the hospital said.
Majils e Wahdat e Muslimeen (MWM) condemned the attack, saying Shia faithfuls were targeted.
Meanwhile, in a statement, banned outfit Lashkar-e-Jhangvi al-Alami (LeJ) claimed responsibility for the attack.
