Security plan missing for football series

LAHORE: With less than ten days to go to the arrival of the Palestine team in Lahore, the Punjab government is yet to initiate a security plan despite countless reminders by the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF).

Palestine will arrive on February 27 and play their first match in Lahore on March 1 followed by one in Karachi. Sindh government, however, has already mapped out a security plan for the series.

“I’ve a meeting with the Sindh government officials  on the security arrangements  but it’s disappointing that the Punjab officials have yet to respond to our request,” PFF Director Marketing Sardar Naveed Haider Khan told The Express Tribune.

Hamood | 13 years ago | Reply Punjab government led by Sharifs is worthless. They screwed up the security plan and Sri Lankan Cricketers were attacked in 2009. I hope they do a much better job this time.
