“We have agreed to work in several fields including defence, energy, agriculture and economy,” the premier said adding that the joint meeting reflected the common goal of prosperity and development.

Further, PM Nawaz said that Pakistan’s aspirations for peace should not be taken as a sign of weakness and that all regional issues pertaining to Kashmir need to be resolved at the earliest.
"Pakistan has been an advocate of peace despite naked aggression from certain quarters," he said.
Pakistan and India have been involved in a tense verbal and diplomatic spat since July 8 owing to state violence in held Kashmir and subsequent deaths of more than 100 protesters in the valley.

The premier facilitated Azerbaijan’s stance on Kashmir and stressed that the issue needs to be resolved in accordance with the resolutions of the United Nations. “Our regions have remained hostile to these [security] situations,” Nawaz remarked.
The premier is in Azerbaijan on an official three-day during which he will hold talks to enhance bilateral cooperation in diverse fields with focus on trade and investment.
PM Nawaz will also hold wide ranging talks with Azeri leaders – including President Aliyev and Prime Minister Artur Tahir Rasizade.
