
As many as three resolutions were submitted by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf legislators.
The one regarding NAP was submitted by lawmaker Nabila Hakim, calling on the federal government to ensure the formulation of an effective policy for NAP implementation while also demanding indiscriminate action against all banned outfits in the province.
The resolution also calls for stern action against all madrasas allegedly supporting terrorists, saying it is the responsibility of the government to provide security to its citizens.
Another resolution calling for action against those using substandard ingredients, especially food colour, in the preparation of sweets was also submitted on Thursday.
A resolution calling for culling of stray dogs in the province was also submitted by PTI legislator Ahmed Khan Bhachar, stating that steps must be taken in
the wake of increasing deaths due to attacks by stray dogs.
The legislative assembly is scheduled to begin its session on Friday afternoon. The house is expected to take up the extension of four ordinances and introduction of two bills, including the Punjab criminal prosecution service amendment bill and the Punjab animals feed stuff and compound feed bill.
The provincial law minister will also hold a press briefing ahead of the session.
