This was stated by Sargodha Commissioner Nadeem Mehboob while speaking to journalists at the hospital. He said earlier, an incinerator was not available in any hospital of the district for disposing of waste in a proper manner.
He said without the incinerator, hospital waste was burnt and dumped manually. The commissioner pointed out that improper waste disposal not only creates hurdles in maintaining cleanliness but it was also a major factor in spreading deadly diseases.
Meanwhile, the provincial government approved PC-I for establishment of nine new centres of Rescue 1122 in the district. An official said these centres would be established in Sahiwal, Silanwali, Kot Momin, Bhera, Shahpur, Khushab, Noorpur Thal and Quaidabad.
